JP is a fantastic trainer and I highly recommend his services. He’s calm, reassuring, and provides great insight into your dogs’ mentality. His feedback and help encourage a healthy dog and a confident owner. JP’s suggestions will go a long way if you’re willing to listen and follow through. He knows dog behavior very well. Give him a call if you need help of any kind with your pup. As a bonus, once you’re a client you can participate in his monthly pack walks for free. This is the only trainer I know of that provides this service, and it’s wonderful to be able to connect with other dog owners and receive regular helpful advice. Training is always continuing and evolving with our dogs, and the more you can get out there and socialize the better.

JP was very helpful in answering my questions and concerns regarding a new dog I had just adopted. He not only helped give me enlightenment on my dogs thinking process, but also gave me the tools to keep working with my animals on my own. I am not new to the dog training process but when I adopted a dog with traits I was not familiar with, he had the knowledge to help me and my new dog. I was very thankful that he was able to come to my home and help me so he could see first hand my dogs behavior at home. This is big because I live an hour away. I am very thankful and impressed!

We are recent clients of JP, but we can already see the tremendous help and value he has brought to our family in most importantly, our reactive pup, Swoop. Even though we don’t meet with him on a regular basis, he is always there for us with any questions or issues we are having. The additional services he provides like his pack walks are beyond helpful and something we now look forward to as a family. We are learning the techniques necessary to help fulfill our dogs lives while still being well-behaved. As a college student is difficult to appropriate funds for things like this, but JP makes it easy for us. He is extremely professional and caring for the dogs safety as well as ours. Thank you JP!

We love our dog, Hank, very much but it was clear he was in charge of our household. Hank would bark at us for everything, including when he wanted attention, to go for walks, his meals and treats. From the minute JP walked in, Hank immediately responded to JP much differently than us. He was able to connect with our dog on his level, gain his trust, and have him respond to his training skills. And then it wasn’t long before we were able to use his advice and work with our dog. Now Hank will wait for us to give him attention, for us to give him his meals, and for us to walk him. Working with JP has been the single best thing we could have done for our dog Sophie. We adopted Sophie and knew she was found as a stray. Our hearts were in the right place with trying to train her, but we made no progress. Since working with JP, Sophie has gone from not wanting to walk on a leash to walking twice a day! Our walking attempts used to be stressful and unsuccessful but now we all enjoy this time together. JP also worked with us on behavior inside the home, specifically guests entering who are strangers to her. Sophie has also learned how to safely exit the pool in case of an accidental fall. People who met Sophie before we worked with JP have commented on the change in her demeanor. JP works with both the dog and owners, wanting to see the family unit succeed. He has provided us with the knowledge, tools, structure, and confidence to give Sophie (and our family!) the best life. We are extremely grateful for all that he has done.

After not having success with another dog trainer in town, we contacted JP about our leash reactive and anxious cattle dog. JP is confident, very knowledgable, and knew exactly what we needed to do! We have had two sessions, are now using his recommended leash, and have implemented all of his suggestions at home. We have had so much progress in a very short period of time!! So much so that we felt confident in joining in on his recent pack walk with his other clients. It went really well and showed us just how far our dog has come! He also offers other client exclusive services that we are excited to use. I highly recommend JP if you are having any issues with your dog!

I cannot emphasize how life-changing having JP as a trainer was to both me and my first dog. He has a fantastic awareness of canine behaviorism and was always professional and patient. I rescued a shepherd mix a little over a year ago and genuinely struggled with managing her intense anxiety + low stress threshold, leading me to shy away from tons of social environments. I poured over resources online for dogs with similar reactivity problems and tried my best at acclimatizing her on my own. There were so many issues I felt at a loss as for where to even start. At this point, contacting JP felt like a shot in the dark for me, but after our initial consultation, I appreciated how great of a listener JP was and how he provided his perspective. We worked through multiple sessions and gradually tackled scenarios that were always designed for the long-run instead of temporary solutions. There are days where I feel exhausted from reinforcing her routines, but being able to see my dog's clear improvement and her being more comfortable in her own skin honestly makes the effort all worth it.

JP is very professional and responsible trainer. He solved every issue with my one year old collie. The way he train and teach my dog is so effective that it feels like magic. He also tell everything to us the owner. He is not only teaching our dog, but he is also teaching us how to be a better owner. I bought four classes. Before each class, JP will plan out the lesson depending on our need. During the lesson, the time will be spent very effectively. With the lesson and daily practicing, my collie now knows how to walk beside me without pulling, how to get on the car, how to go out and inside the house, and overcame the fear of swimming! I’m so glad I chose JP. It was a very meaningful experience.
